Senior Building Exploratory Explorers (Senior Bees)
We run a programme of activities for older people called the Senior Bees, meeting fortnightly on Friday mornings to gain a whole new perspective on the built environment through illustrated talks, visits to fascinating buildings, lively guided tours and debates. Our latest programme can be downloaded by clicking the PDF icon below:
Due to its popularity, the Senior Bees programme has expanded into two groups - one for established members and another for new ones. The new Building Exploratory Explorers group began meeting in the autumn of 2009. If you are interested in joining, please download the following document:
Winning Places, a film on the Senior Bees journey and exploration of London's 2012 Olympics and the city's rich sporting architecture, is now available in six parts on our YouTube channel:
Adults
Our programme for adults aims to provide inspiration and ideas about the built environment. Our activities include evening talks and discussions exploring the world of architecture, design, heritage and regeneration. We also hold a series of Saturday workshops and explorations which include artist-led street tours and visits to unusual and inspiring buildings and spaces. Our 'What's on' page contains news on upcoming events.
We also offer lifelong learning activities for groups through guided tours and outreach sessions. We work with ESOL students, community groups, university students and many more - for further details please contact us on 020 7729 2011 or mail@buildingexploratory.org.uk
